APA Florida and the Atlantic Coast Section are excited for this year’s annual conference, held in Daytona Beach for the first time in over 25 years!

This part of east central Florida is known worldwide as the home of the Daytona International Speedway and is near NASA’s Kennedy Space Center and Port Canaveral, an international hub for cargo and cruising.

APA Florida is committed to Rising to the Challenge of planning for Florida’s future. The Host Committee has put together a diverse program of speakers, sessions, workshops, and tours designed for learning and inspiration. Keynote speakers Majora Carter and Hank Dittmar will bring fresh ideas on urban design and redevelopment to make our cities more livable, resilient and beautiful. There will be mobile tours across the region highlighting the future of commercial space travel, coastal adaptation, historic preservation, and small town revitalization. Special skill sessions will provide in-depth, hands-on experience using planning tools for community resilience and collaborative corridor design. Breakout sessions will cover everything from transportation, small town planning, environment, redevelopment, economic development, and planning practice.

Join us in Daytona Beach September 5-8 for the 2017 APA Florida Conference as we Rise to the Challenge together!
